MEAG Power offers Participants the ability to provide customers with green energy.

Through Marketing Services, MEAG Power aggregates the requests for green energy from all our Participant communities and then purchases green certificates through our partner, Sterling Planet. Through these certificates we encourage and support those facilities that use renewable energy. MEAG Power's green energy certificates come from Georgia and represent renewable energy generated from biomass resources. It is important to note that unfortunately Georgia is not blessed with favorable wind or solar renewable energy opportunities. Nonetheless we have stepped up our efforts to identify renewable energy resources and if legislation mandates that a percentage of generation come from renewables we will look to satisfy that mandate by acquiring or building assets at the lowest cost.
